toshiba sdr5372 to samsung h552a - Club CDFreaks

have found a f/w that allows crossflashing of toshiba sd-r5372 to samsung h552a... should i use it or not ???
Is there any benefit from samsung f/w ???
Please post any info on the matter......

why would you want to do that
the latest firmware TU56 from toshiba gives you DVD-R DL support

Cause i 'd like to be able to overspeed the drive using MCSE tool if the samsung h552a is at least equal to sd-r5372

but MCSE upto version (1.0.6.6) does not support TS-H552A any way

I know , for tu56 f/w MCSE just crashes , for ba57 f/w (ts552a) it doesn't but it shows very short media code table (less than 60 medias) and lets me make changes...
so i 'm wondering if i could use it and try to get as much infos as possible...

eventhough ala42 (author of MCSE) says that i shouldn't use it ....
