Samsung SH-S203B PMA update errors

Hi folks!

Had this Samsung 203B f/w SB01 for almost a month now and until now burned fine. Used mainly Verbatim 16X DVD+R and no error from them. Bought recently a 50Pack of Maxell 16X DVD+R RICOHJPN-R03-04 and burned 7 dvdrs until this happens see pictures attached, tried both Nero 7.10.1.0 and latest Imgburn at 12X and 16X burnspeed. Whats this? PMA update failure

Re: Samsung SH-S203B PMA update errors

Connect the drive to IDE port 1 or 2.

So sata port 1 or 2 should make my burner more functional then sata 5?

Using a Asus P5B-DLX 965 board.

And why now errors appear, not on the first burns cant get it.

Check out ImgBurn forum. This link might give you some ideas.
Lycka till.
Edit. BTW, there seems to be some buffer problems as well "Wait for buffer to recover..."

Re: Samsung SH-S203B PMA update errors

Off the top of my head...the RED SATA connections on the board are Master and the black ones are slave. Make sure that you are also connected to the Intel SATA, not the J Micron. That should help. I have the P5B Deluxe and am connected to SATA 5, because I wanted to boot to the drive when need be. My two WD hard drives are on SATA 1/2 and are running in RAID 0...and everything is smooth as silk

Yes using the same but not raid.

Tried burning another copy yesterday with the img file on my second sata hdd not using C:/ and now everything went ok with 16X burn , perhaps it was a faulty imgstructure, havent tried that file again.

True, I was confused by the Nero info (atapi ports etc).
