| cd no problem, but dvd wont burn Hallo. I´m new to this forum and I hope I behave accordingley to your rules. Otherwise please say so. I have a big problem with my SH-W162C. I can copy files to the drive and burn on a CD, but when I put in a DVD-R, and I try to copy som files over to the DVD it writes "There was a problem and windows couldnt copy files". I have tryid everything posible. New firmware, windows update, moving the drive from one IDE to another. But nothing helps. Can You help me ?  |

| Re: cd no problem, but dvd wont burn Please use a real burning app like Nero 6 (6.6.1.4). Windows has no built-in support for burning to DVD media (except DVD-RAM).

| Re: cd no problem, but dvd wont burn sorry to invade the thread like this... i have the same problem... used various apps and nothin... CD's are cool but DVD's aren't... I had this problem last year, but all of a sudden it started working. Recently i had to re-format, and after that, it never worked again. I used mainly Nero 6.6.0.18 (it's still the most reliable as 6.6.1.4 is a bit 'buggy'...) because i get a burn log with it. My firmware is TS11, and on one of the last error logs, i found the error to be 'Reset Ocurred'. I looked everywhere for this error and so far i only found that it's normally realted with SCSI erros and external burners... Any help would be appreciated on this enigma. Thanks in advance. |

| Re: cd no problem, but dvd wont burn "Reset occured" normally comes from connection/hardware problems. First, check the cable connection or replace it. Also check the Nero FAQ.
