If running ubuntu 7.04 and have the desktop effects on, then the nero splash is not centered of the screen. It's in the left top corner.

Nothing major but..

Yes this is a known issue... You are using compiz/beryl or whatever new 3D desktop no?

Well yes, I have the built in desktop effects on the ubuntu 7.04, it's a slimmed down version of beryl/compiz

i`m not usig any 3D desktop and the same issue here.

Yes there was a small bug inside the splash screen. It was meant to be centered on the parent window... but as it has no parent window at all, the behaviour is somehow undefined.
Works under Gnome/KDE, but on an other desktop env. it's undefined.
