I am running fedora 6 on the 64bit and would like to install
nerolinux-2.1.0.2

Any advice on what I should do.
I know some programs run in 64system as 32bit.
when I try to install the 32bit one from nero site here is my errors:

Your errors messages are coming from the fact that GTK+ is not installed in 32 bits.

I have the same problems. Attempting to install GTK+ 32 bit, informs me a newer version is already installed, yet the libraries are in /usr/lib64/libgtk-1.2.so.0.9.1. If I make a symbolic link in /usr/lib, Nero will install, but not run. Executing Nero from the terminal gives me library red errors.

Hummm... Remember that NeroLINUX is (still) a 32bits application. So using a 32bits linked app with 64bits libs will NEVER work

Thanks mathf, I am aware of that. The problem is getting the 32bit libraries installed, as yum will not install them. I have downloaded the 32bit rpms from the Fedora repository and attempted a local install and yum indicates a new version of GTK+ is already installed.
I will see if I can get any answers from the Fedora Forum.

We are also currently trying to find a way to make the next webversion work with FC6... So I will also keep you informed

Okay... Problem fixed

1. Launch 'Add/Remove Software' in the fedora menu
2. Search for GTK+ 1.2 (I think version is 1.2.10 or something approaching)
3. Install it (it should also require glib 1.2)

-> NeroLINUX installs fine them

I will try to reproduce...

(1) I use Applications > Add/Remove Software to open the Package Manager.
(2) Enter root password
(3) Find GTK+ 1.2. No luck

I see gtk2-engines under Desktop Environments > Gnome Desktop Environment > Optional Packages
I saw some gtk extras under Development > GNOME Software Development > Optional Packages

Did you enable a special repository? I have been trying to install NERO with no luck:

nerolinux is now installed and opens

I had to install two packages, not just one...

rpm -ivh http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pu...3.fc6.i386.rpm
rpm -ivh http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pu...5.fc6.i386.rpm


Now everything installs and starts. I do not have time to test at the moment, but I was able to at least start nero; wahoo!

Was able to get NeroLinux installed, but it does not see my BenQ DVD DD DW1620.
Been using K3b, GnomeBaker and Graveman, which all see the dvd drive.
I just happen to prefer using NeroLinux, as it never gives me toasters, i.e. burn errors!

Is it possible that you need to update the firmware in the drive?

Don't think so. It worked before upgrading to FC6
