DoubleLayer DVD ?
Did any body burn a DVD+R DL ??
I use a NEC ND-3500AG Drive. (Specifications)
I try to write a 7GB Session to a "Memorex DVD+R 8.5GB PROFESSIONAL RECORDABLE DVD"


NeroLINUX find the right size of the DVD but when i start writing i get the follow error.



anybody can help me??

Sure ! We are looking at your problem. I will give you some infos as soon as possible.

Have you ever burned a DL media (for example under Windows) with success ? What is the actual firmware of your recorder ?

i can not burn on windows.. because i only run linux on the machine

the linux hardware-info in kde shows 2.1.6.

Can you run NeroLINUX as root user, and reproduce this. After that, close NeroLINUX completly and attach the file /usr/share/nero/NeroHistory.log... Don't forget to remove your serial number from it first !

Have you tried with other medias ? I tried this morning on a Verbatim DVD+R DL and I was able to burn a 7GB large ISO complilation

ok i try it with root access.... the same.

i post now the NeroHostory.log which was create with root.

i hope u can do anything

We have been able to reproduce your problem using exactly the same drive and media. We fixed it by upgrading the recorder's frimware to version 2.19 which is officially available from Nec at:
http://support.necsam.com/oem/downloads/flashfirmware/
