Allright I've been wanting to buy a standalone dvd player to replace my ps2 as my primary dvd player. I've been looking at Philips DVP642 but I also saw the Liteon 2010 on their website http://www.liteonit.com/DC/english/l...0/lvd_2010.htm . Looks like everything the DVP642 with an ethernet connection too. The networking is a huge plus for me. But I can't find any resellers with the 2010. Since it's obviously not out on the market yet can anyone tell me when the 2010 is slated for release?

The 2010 is dead, will never be released. Beats me why they still have it on the web site. I think the 2020 will replace it, if they ever get around to releasing that.

The latest standalone from Lite-On will be the LVW-5020. It has 80gb hard drive and records all media types except RAM. It will hit the stores late October,early November. I am waiting for this one. Priced at $399.00

The link to the liteonusers.org.uk site above connected me through to a different webpage with ads, which said it'd forward me to the correct site in a few seconds, or I could "click here" on the URL for the liteonusers site.

Coming back here, I'm now seeing THIS in the post itself-

Oddly enough, when replying to that post, only the short version of the URL, "www.liteonusers.org.uk", shows.
