Lite-On DVD Recorder and Player Forum Discuss, Help with finalizing DVD needed: at Digital Video Recorder & Home Entertainment forum; I had a LiteOn 5006 which had a bad tuner and was returned in March. There was going to be several months before a 5005 replacement could be had. I got a LVW-5116GHC+ in place of it. I had several disks that had not been closed on the 5006.

Help with finalizing DVD needed:

I had a LiteOn 5006 which had a bad tuner and was returned in March. There was going to be several months before a 5005 replacement could be had. I got a LVW-5116GHC+ in place of it. I had several disks that had not been closed on the 5006. The LVW-5116GHC+ will play them, but will not finalize them. Does anyone know of a way to finalize these open disks?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Re: Help with finalizing DVD needed:

If your PC has a DVD rewriter that's compatible with the discs recorded on the LiteOn, you can try using DVD Decrypter (freeware).

From the menu, use Tools -> Drive -> Close -> Disc
