Who's watching the olympics in High Definition Goodness?

Over here in Oz, everyones complaining that the entire olympics is being broadcast in the old 4:3 format, which is of course.....Standard Definition. Of course the TV Station blames Athens for only recording events in standard definition, and not HD, successfully shifting the blame from themselves to the Athens TV Stations

The entire TV world here in OZ has been pushing Digital HD plasma / LCD screens onto the reluctant masses and the latest marketting was "Watch the Olympics in better than DVD high quality, High definition 16:9 Widescreen with surround sound!" Bah humbug!

Is everyone in the world getting Standard Definition 4:3, or is it just that the company that won exclusive Australian Olympic broadcast rights this year is just a pathetic excuse for a brothel that was too cheap to pay for the better quality HD widescreen version?

What are your thoughts?

To be more exactly - 24 if we assume that mid thirties is 35.
