For some reason i decided to put ipod linux on my ipod... it didnt work, boot or be recognised by the computer.. some how i managed to format it and reinstall the firmware.. after about 2 hours of searching *sigh* and its the first 3 hours of the day... better get to bed *yawn*

gah... i couldn't get to sleep so i just ended up lying in bed for 5 hours... now i have to drink coffee because i have to go to work in an hour

spent the last 5 hours onto bt's "help" service because my internet just gave up... and they couldnt figure out the problem... so i decided to just give it a go myself... and fixed in in half an hour

i'm pissed that i spent $25 on a flash drive on ebay but forgot to change all of my address information in ebay and paypal after i moved out of syracuse.

it's now changed and i emailed the seller, but i received a notice today saying that the item was being shipped to syracuse...WTF

i'm never going to get it. my mailman there has to deal with hundreds of change of address forms on his route because it's all college apartments so he just plays dumb and ignores the change of address requests. it's going to get delivered to the house and whoever lives there is going to keep it.

Now you mention that - I'm bloody lucky to be here...I just rang my mum, her cable TV and net is out, people have been going into the cafe where she works and complaining that their blueyonder net is out.

Apparently (so she heard on the radio) someone went around cutting broadband cables at Telewest, loads of people are talking about compensation and stuff and police are "investigating".

Funny thing is, I'm on the same hub she is, and my net and TV is fine (thank God).

This would have been a gigantic whinge (after I came back online, of course) if I had been affected

Call the destination college & have a quick chat ... I'm sure they can redirect it for you .. especially with the exhorbitant fees they used to charge

i didn't live on campus. it was sent to an apartment building.

i ended up getting in touch with the seller and the notice i got was just that she had generated a packing slip or something...she had been too lazy to mail it out today so I caught her in time haha. she said she changed the address.

first time i've ever been glad to buy off of a lazy seller...

Well i'll not whinge about today......i'll whinge about yesterday....
it all started at 8 am ...i woke up but couldn't eat anything.. i'd been having some heart palpatations a couple weeks ago and after a ct scan at the local hospital...they sent me to a cardiac specialist.....so Friday was my appointed day....i arrived at 9:45 my appointment was for 10 am...my mother by my side....and around 10:30 they finally called me back....this place was huge....so i went to one holding room ...waited..then another....and waited...finally i got in a private room..and waited......the doctor showed up...looked at my films.....talked about 2 minutes said...sometimes these tests give a false positive on women because the breast tissue causes some feed back....so he ordered a high powered scan of my arteries....
Guess what.....???? its a new preceedure and its not FDA approved yet..so most insurance companies don't pay for it.....well they couldn't contact mine....and i sat there..and waited..and waited......mind you this is after 3 pm..and i've not had anything to eat since around 9 the night before.....they finally pulled me into a room and said..they couldn't get through to my insurance provider....( I've got Excellent insurance) so i said....well lets bill them and if they choose not to pay..i'll pick up the tab....the lady in the office fell out laughing you'll pay 3200 for one test??? i'm thinking lady.....this is a scan...i'd pay twice that to keep from having a heart catherization done...any way after a few more hours i get on the list for the scan...and get taken to yet another holding area....
they did 6 scans...and even did one with nitro under my tounge..(that stuff tasted like pure jack daniels) after the scans..they said oh the guy who reads them left at 5 so it will be Monday before we find out anything so go take it easy this weekend..and the doctor will call you on monday.........
i finally checked out of the office at 6:15 pm....exhausted..and still HUNGRY!!!
i went to my favorite resutrant....Logan's...and had breakfast/lunch/dinner all in one..and drove my mom to her car....and we both left going home......on my way home.......there was a wreck..so i sat on the highway for about 2 hours.....till they cleared the cars and people and debris off the road...i got home around 9:45 .....its saturday and i'm on auto pilot


soooo heres for taking it easy!!!in a totally STRESSED weekend.......if that doc doesn't call me by 9:30 ...i'm gonna be bugging the crap out of them at the office..!!!!

i hope everything turns out ok (and that your insurance picks up the bill!)

gotta give the Drs. some credit for doublechecking with a more accurate test rather than just sending you on your way thinking something's wrong when it might not be...

I consider myself lucky that I've never had health problems yet, but I've seen everyone in my family go through it. my mom and dad and 3 out of my 4 grandparents all had cancer and the 4th grandparent had heart problems. I know what a pain hospitals can be...especially when you're nervous in the first place. my thoughts are with you.
