| When will the price of a cd recordable be the same as a dvd recordable Shouldn't take long now. Double layer is coming so single layer isn't that interesing anymore in a few quarters. What do you think ? |

| I am not sure CD recordables will be around for that long. Actually, i expect them to be more expensive than SL DVD recordables in a few years, since they will be an extinct species necessay only by few that will be willing to pay more for it for compatability reasons.

| Um, I've seen spindles of 100x cheap DVD-R media at the same price (per disc) as spindles of 50x cheap CD media here already. ie $60au for 100 DVD-R / $30 for 50 Cheap CDR. Occasionally they also have bulk deals where if you buy 200+ media, you can get it the same price as CDR anyway  I wouldn't touch the cheap DVD-R with a 40ft pole though, especially since my litey 811 is a tad finnicky.
