Re: What's the temperature where you are?

92°F/33.3°C headed for 100°F...Long range forecast is 104°F/40°C for Sunday...
That iceberg wouldn't last long around here...
The malcontents, lollygaggers, and ner-do-wells have assumed their positions and wondering when the freezer will be open for occupancy...

Re: What's the temperature where you are?

Hehehe

Ick...the weather forecast for my region:

Quote:
This Evening and Tonight
Very warm and muggy, with a likelihood of one or two thundery showers. Minimum temperature 17 deg C (63 deg F).

Tomorrow
Hot and humid with a good deal of hazy sunshine. Maximum temperature 29 deg C (84 deg F).
Blah...like the idea of rain, though ...and it's 29F in here now...God knows what it'll be like tomorrow

29F? Really? Then you did manage to squeeze yourself into the freezer after all.

Today the temperature was 30-31C (87F) here.

Tomorrow here in Denmark we're going to get the weather you had in the UK today, so it should be hot. I might have to get one of those big frozen water thingies that float on non-frozen water - I hope I'm not getting to technical for the Living Room, pipemanid?!

@Arachne, I'm glad you didn't melt completely today after all!

Hahaha...29F is hot...it's not natural for Britain to get this hot surely

It was a close call...sweating buckets, I was...my own stupid fault for not putting my fan together, but it's on my to-do list for tomorrow.

Even the poor cat can't handle it, he's sprawled out on the floor...it must be worse for him, being furry...and black...

About 90 F today. Not too bad out here unless you have to do physical labor all day outside

Re: What's the temperature where you are?

Why all the complaining about the heat? It gets a little hot in Europe and everyone starts “weeping like a bath tub over flowing.” Its 117 degree F in Arizona and nobody complains. Of course I don’t live in Arizona. Its 82 degrees F for the high where I live and it’s just lovely. Anyway if it gets too hot turn on the AC. Your PC and media equipment will appreciate it.

People in Arizona are used to that kind of heat, we weepy europeans are not.

Immigrants and visitors from Africa go around in winter clothing during most of the year here in Denmark because they're not used to the cold.

So it's all about what you are used to and not so much about how it might be hotter or colder in other parts of the world.

You're also assuming that everyone has Air Condition over here, but that is in fact extremely rare in most european countries!

And we Brits are used to rain, rain...and more rain.

AC...I'd give my right arm for that at the moment, as would most Brits, I suspect - as Drage mentioned, AC isn't fitted as standard in every home as it is in the US.

I knew someone was gonna pick me up on that as soon as I posted it

Certainly more people in the US have it than here, though...over here, it's more offices and such with AC - you won't find it in a regular home, unless the occupants have buckets of money

Re: What's the temperature where you are?

I'm a bit cooler today. It's amazing what taking one's top off can do...I'll have to put it back on soon though, I have no curtains/blinds in my kitchen

So no doubt later on I'll be back to melting ...thermostat says 29C at the moment
