I love life...Yeah, I'm sad, but at the same time, I'm really happy that something could make me feel that sad. It's like...It makes me feel alive, you know. It makes me feel human. The only way I could feel this sad now is if I felt something really good before. So I have to take the bad with the good. So I guess what I'm feeling is like a beautiful sadness.

Courage and perseverance have a magical talisman, before which difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish into air.

Don't be blinded by the front a person puts up to keep you from finding out who they really are.

If you want peace of mind, stop fighting with your thoughts.

The most important things are the hardest to say. They are the things you get ashamed of, because words diminish them-words shrink things that seemed limitless when in your head to no more than living size when they're brought out. But it's more than that, isn't it? The most important things lie close to wherever your secret heart is buried, like landmarks to a treasure your enemies would love to steal away. And you may make revelations that cost you dearly only to have people look at you in a funny way, not understanding what you've said at all, or why you thought it was so important that you almost cried while saying it. That's the worst, I think. When the secret stays locked within not for want of a teller but for the want of an understanding ear. - Stephen King, intro to "The Body."

Re: What's the temperature where you are?

Well, today is the first day I've had to put the fan on in here. Silly British weather

Edit: And I know the weather is getting warm, when the cat no longer wants to snuggle up, when I let him in in the mornings

Re: What's the temperature where you are?

Beautiful summer weather all of a sudden here in Belgium, after a couple of cool and wet spring months. Reminds me of 10 years ago, early May 1998 in Düsseldorf (a special time you'll gather).

Only problem is I'm in fear of my computer toys with all the pollen from the trees that's entered the room. Even my arms and legs are sticky from it and the weather isn't even humid .

Re: What's the temperature where you are?

^Yeah, you would, wouldn't you . I think I better get myself over to England to see someone, cos the phone isn't gonna cut it any more (just wish I'd win the Lotto first). Well, I can dream of it while dusting off and cleaning up my toys over the weekend .

Well of course I would, you should know me by now

As for *someone*, could be worse, you might not have the phone

And for the sake of the topic, it stormed here earlier in the evening ...mind you, I'm not surprised given how humid it is.
