Re: Show us your computer workplace

Tested my first 1.2 megapixel web camera. I don't know how good it is because I've never used anything else except two 0.3 megapixel ones. They were not impressive and rarely used. At least, it's USB 2.0 and me on this LCD looks a little better than what I am really.

Also got two new PC cases. The total cost was a little over US$40. US$20 per each plus US$3.x for shipping, all including tax. But they are better than most I got before. Perhaps except that luxurious Lian-Li aluminum and the one for Dell server, rack type. I had to add two Panaflo 80mm fans inside, one on the front for cooling 4 to 5 HDDs, 3.5-inch, and the other on the CPU side. One case for Athlon 64 2800+ and the other for mobile Barton 2400+. Using computers without casing made it more difficult to keep it clean.

LOL Mine is the same way. Only stays clean if I stay away from it. Need to charge my battery on my camera so I can post a current pic.

Re: Show us your computer workplace

Since I started using my phone as my primary camera, the battery needs charging too often. More than once each day.

Does that look so dark because of lighting? It'd hurt my eyes if I were in that room. Since I changed to LCD from CRT, my eyes feel much better.

I wondered about that lamp, too, because it seemed to use an old-type bulb, not used here anymore because of heat and risk of explosion.

Re: Show us your computer workplace

I thought someone would comment on my fancy eatin' table instead of the lamp lol My spot is in the walkout basement. Walkout is behind me in other room so i need light without turning on ceiling lights. Fan is for wife's so called hot flashes (going through change she says) lol

Yeah, it looks darker on the photo than on real life.
I like to play games (you can see the one I'm playing now on the picture) once in a while and I've been told not to buy a lcd if I like to play games. Do not ask me why, it's technical stuff.
I got this Sony g400 19" flat CRT for 140$Can roughly 105$US. It's was a very good deal. The 19" LCD costs are too high for me now. And I really like 19"

Re: Show us your computer workplace

Actually, this is an older photo and he brought me a TASCAM DV-RA1000 DSD (the Super Audio CD audiophile standard) a DVD+R/RW recorder. The DV-RA1000 records standard CD audio or to DVDs at up to 192kHz/24-bit resolution, as well as recording in the DSD format. It features a user-friendly front panel interface, wired remote and professional connections including USB 2.0 port and RS-232 serial control. Ya think that is good enough I am open for suggestions though... Oldrocker
