Admitting that you've illegally downloaded movies/songs and need help to process/burn is comparable to robbing a bank, and walking into the bank the next day holding the bags of money to deposit them into your account.

Don't be surprised if people laugh at you when you make the headlines.

Why get an LCD that costs as much as my computer, when a great display will only run me $300?

And why aren't you out buying one? Heh

If you became my bitch (and get away from smarty_pants) I could afford a new LCD. Pimps make a lot.

Good 17'' LCD monitors cost in Greece around 700-850 €, which is 640-790$.

Don't think that my parents will be willing to just give me the money.

Hey, I have a thing for Viewsonic monitors... they always look the best to me when I'm in stores, and I've always used Viewsonic monitors at home. Somehow I'm hooked on brands...

Motherboard always ASUS
CPU always AMD
Soundcard always Soundblaster
Monitor always Viewsonic
Videocard always ATi

I'm... odd.

But what do YOU consider top of the line if Viewsonic isn't counted as one of the big players?

Half free.

If I want to, I can get some DVD+R DL media for free but I never abuse my opportunities.

I don't think average consumers really buy DVD+R DL media right now. It's like the first-generation DVD-R (not even DVD+R) media that worked with Pioneer's expensive DVD-R recorder. Anyone remembers how much they were priced?

There are only very few DVD+R DL media on the market becaue not even Mitsubishi Kagaju Media have been able to produce them at a decen yield rate. That's going to change very soon though.

Think of them as early proto-type product samples. You are paying for the market to mature, both for the interest of the manufacturers and end-users. Not to your own interest necessarily.

If I buy a 3-megapixel camera phone in this month, I'll probably post thousands of image files everyday.

Barco. Very Expensive!
Miro Radius. Very Expensive!
Sony. Expensive
NEC Multisyncs. Expensive

Any reason why ATI? They seem to be slipping, as far as performance goes, and still haven't fixed that damn texture tearing in Open GL, even with latest drivers!!!!!! The new Xseries actualy use brilinear filtering, which is 1/2 way between trilinear and Bilinear. Bilinear is, of course, faster, trilinear looks much nicer, so brilinear is alot faster than trilinear, but doesn't look as good, and is what the X series uses. I don't think real Trilinear filtering is even available.
The X800 is basically a modded & overclocked 9600. The 9800 was the last true trilinear GPU. Nuff said.

Not a fan of asus. Every asus mobo anyone else I know has ever owned = serious issues that require major driver updates(read long delays) / workarounds! But of course, everyone has their preferences

Amd is good. It's significantly cheaper and performance is still fabulous. Makes good sense, unless for a server!
Creative still has the best sound cards, methinks, in the consumer category anyway

Thats the way I see it here in the states also. I see dl becoming cheap media, but not this year. I look forward to coming though....
