CD Freaks Living Room Discuss, ISO burning problems :( at International Chat: General Topics forum; Howdy people. First time here Got my hands on my first ISO. Ultima Online : Third Dawn Well, the download goes fine and I use cloneCD to burn an ISO with my Plextor 12.10.32 IDE. No problems there. Then I try to install the game and the first 30 %

Howdy people.

First time here

Got my hands on my first ISO.
Ultima Online : Third Dawn

Well, the download goes fine and I use cloneCD
to burn an ISO with my Plextor 12.10.32 IDE.
No problems there.

Then I try to install the game and the first 30 % goes fine. But then a file here and there is not readeble form
the burned cd
I have tried diffrent speeds of burning and diffrent type of qualaty of cd's. Nothing helps

I hope you can help me

Maybe the image its self is bad?
try downloading Daemons tools
http://www.daemon-tools.com/
usefull for "testing" images to see if they work or not.

Don't think so when it is a *.ccd image.

But perhaps, as bio_tox said, the ISO you downloaded is corrupt.

and where exactly does it say it's a ccd-file Tax?

Well, when he mentioned he burned it with clonecd...
so it must be a *.ccd

Well, actually he says:

In the clonecdmenu you can choose for all files type.
I would check this ISO with Isobuster; this prog recognizes valid mediaformats and tells you if you are dealing with a damaged ISO. When this seems to be allright, you can extract the ISO, to verify , if everything is right.
