Very easy, as you can see. The advanced link gives you options to choose the style of your webchat. Which one fits you, you'll have to decide for yourself.

I suggest using the first two, as they work for most people.

Maybe you want more, you want to try mIRC (or another chat client). If you think I'm gonna write down a complete tutorial, guess again. It has been done by other persons with far more knowledge than me. A nice place to start is the mIRC homepage with installation and setup notes, as well as a big FAQ. Further they have a page with lots of links to other (m)IRC resources. Here as well as here you'll find more useful links (some might be in Dutch!). mIRC is (imho) an easy program and won't be hard to understand for most, if not all, CD Freaks. If you have more questions or problems, you can ask them here or in the chatroom itself (if you get there ). If you feel the need, PM is also allowed.

One of the most common problems is finding a good server that accepts your connection. Not every country has its own IRCnet server(s). Over at IRCnet.com they have a list of available servers. You can also try the Stealth.net server (irc.stealth.net), if all other options fail.

Oh yeah, as you can read in my signature, there are two chatrooms for CD Freaks. #cdfreaks is the oldest one. That is the reason why you will find mostly Dutch speaking people there. It is also the largest channel. #cdfreaks-int is for the English speaking visitors. This channel is smaller, but if enough people visit, there might be a chance we can turn things around
When you enter the chat and you notice there's not much talking going on, don't just run off. We are all busy people (except for Da_Taxman), but if you wait long enough someone will start talking to you Besides, most people got cable or dsl now, so just stay around.
