IE. I have tried almost every browser listed on those download sites and I alwasys come back to IE.

IE just works better than ohters. I had trouble surfing internet with some of the browsers where IE just worked and let me browse any site I visited.

As a matter of fact, IE is a terrible browser. That's why it is so popular: it doesn't whine about all kinds of errors, it just lets them be. Other browsers like Opera and Mozilla don't do this (as a matter of fact, they uphold the standards) and so are less flexible.

Because of the compatibility I used IE the most, when in Windows. In Linux, I mostly use Opera and Mozilla. The new Opera 7 is really a fine browser, but there are still some stability issues they should work on...

Earlier versions of mozilla had problems with some pages but with 1.2 it can show most sites correctly. And it has a nice built in feature to stop popups. Thats why I use it

I never had any problems using Opera except from sites that were completely designed to work with Internet Explorer.

It's quite dumb to develop only for IE, since all other browsers aren't that flexible! OK, about everybody uses IE, but it would be really unproffessional to exclude all Mac, Linux, Unix, BSD etc etc users.

IE of course as my main browser, but for several work related sites I must use Mozilla. (IE can work too, but Mozilla allows me to accomplish much more.)

Opera is very nice, I especially like the built in pop-up suppressing, works well. That said, many times I have to open a page in IE because Opera doesn't display it right.

Try Phoenix Browser based on Mozilla

Get it at http://www.mozilla.org/projects/phoenix/

Cut-down version of mozilla without email client etc etc.

Or try 'OffByOne' at http://www.offbyone.com

-This one doesn't need install, runs off a cd, network, slices dices, churns butter but cannot do things like flash - but is v-e-r-y small

Actually I never develop for IE. IE accepts almost anything - NN does not - you're better off developing for NN and this will almost always work on IE.

And Ive had a terrible experience with MAC browsers - both IE and NN - they behave so differently (especially on MAC OS 9 and 10). A developer who can develop a web application which works perfect on IE and NN on MAC OS 9 and 10 is the man
