Im new to this stuff but I just wanted to vouch for dvddecrypter.

I had never done it before and its the first and only program I tried for it but it was simple and very easy to use.

Ripped and Burned my first DVD with it with absolutely no problems. 15 mins to rip and about 15 mins to burn.
