Thank you for your reply..
In reference to the InCD, I have found that you must have good media in order for the app to work.. What I mean to say is,, I have found that CD-RW's purchased have defects.. Take a flash light, or other bright light and shine it through the CD-RW.. by looking at the opposite side you will see pin holes of light, only on the defective ones. I check every CD-RW right out of the Box before I use them to see if those holes are present.. Even one hole I don't use.. To make a long story short, a friend of mine purchased some CD-RW's at an unbelivable low price.. He was making coasters.. started looking for answers and just by chance we decided to see if the media had been scratched, and found the pin light holes.. end of short story.

Now back to the Ghost vs Acronis True Image.. I did not see in the Acronis any ability to recover from CD/DVD if in fact the hard drive/or OS was not bootable or operable... maybe I missed something...

To me, to recover a complete disaster, a program with no need of installing the operating system and the recovery software, is absolutely neccessary.. Curently Ghost provides that ability.. PowerQuest Drive Image also but what a pain. I now think that Symantec has purchased PowerQuest and made the Ghost impovment as the file structure of Drive Image appears not to be changed in the Ghost app.

I finally received a post from Symantec, from (India), stating that Ghost had not the ability to reformat the used CD/DVD RW's which were used in their Backup feature and that I am to acquire a third party package to do so... That stinks I think... If you wish to see his/her post, I will forward it via email to anyone who requests it.

I am still looking for a cd/dvd RW format program to restore the CD/DVD RW's to blank/factory condition, I have not been able to get Nero Erase, Or InCD Erase to work on those specific cd/dvd's.

Have a great day and enjoy
