The ipod is an excellent mp3 player. Eventhough I'm not the above guy, it can record with a mic, a remote can be added and mine gets around 11hrs/charge. No it dosen't play wma's but who cares, I don't use WMA anyway. The gapless kinda sucks but oh well.

Of course you will lose some quality, you always do when converting between formats. It's not that much and sounds pretty good.

The only thing that sucks about the above is that version of MMJB dosen't keep track numbers (as far as I can tell) so after converting to mp3, I have to load them in musicbrainz to tag them. Thats allright though as I can unprotect a whole lot of wma's and then do the rest later.
