Re: Tunebite, using it perfectly ( no cut offs, perfect duration )

Be aware that music services are now starting to offer up their files at different volumes - on purpose. This is the next salvo - make it difficult to automate music capture by varying track volume. Then, you end up with a pile of songs that are distorted because they were recorded too loudly, and others with digital/soundcard hiss because they were recorded too softly.

The idea here is to further complicate automated system processes to the point where it's not worth tinkering with every file just to get the song down right.

Tunebite can respond to this by offering the option to sample various portions of each file prior to conversion and dynamically reset the automated volume to handle each song individually. That isn't on offer yet.
