And that is only half the sad story. Just as a heads up to everybody, the MPAA is using info from the site to go after those that used LokiTorrent, we knew that already. But what I did not know is that
they are looking at television programs being downloaded in the same light as movies! We have not discussed this much around here, and maybe it wont fly, but at least for now you are aware that the MPAA is going to try and stop it.
Many of us figured a free transmission of these shows would mean they were fair game, but I guess it does not follow the personal backup paradigm and is actually a distribution of copyrighted material just like movies or music. We can all figure out what the real reason is, these copies of television being passed around would have a negative impact on future DVD sales of televison series. Of course this applies mainly to those of us in the U.S, but let's not get bogged down with that, because we know damn good and well that once the precedent is set, it does not take long to spread to other countries.
