I just tried this on my lunch hour, and got an error when I tried installing
Virtuosa. I sent them an email letting them know what the message was that I got. I just wanted to see if anything new came up from this, or if there were any new ways to get the downloaded Napster songs into MP3 or WAV format.
I was using the subscription version of Napster and didnt pay the .99 per song, but did the unlimited DL and Play, but cant put them into my MP3 player to listen to, and Im running XP.
I was hoping that someone may have tried something using ME or 95/98? Maybe if you have access to one of the older OS's that arent connected to the internet or have all the updates, you could crack the DRM and at least convert it to a different format so you can convert it to MP3? I havent had the chance to really try, but wanna give it a go when I get home from work.
This whole thing with copywrite is BS. If youre paying a subscription for a service to DL music, you should be able to DL it in whatever format you want, without being restricted.
