From my experiences,most(all + that i've used) discs will record and play back fine on the liteon 5005. The real test for me has been
playing back on another machine.some players are not compatible with certain
discs. For example,Playstation 2 is supposed to play +r and +rw but it wont play any of my discs recorded on the 5005,not perfectly anyway.Some it wont even recognise. I have not used any of the Liteon recommended discs,so I've only myself to blame I suppose.
The discs i've used are maxell+r 1-4X, maxell+rw 1-4X. mr dvd+r & mitsubishi -r. ANYBODY KNOW OF A DISC THAT WORKS ON THE new
SONY PLAYSTATION 2? I've ordered some IMATION +R discs so I hope they're gonna work.
