Re: What CDRW drive, gets past most of the latest copy protection?

- Are the Liteon LTR-52327S and Sony CRX230E-B2 (they are the same drive no?) bad readers when using them as copying source? Lots of folks here are recommending pairing them with the Liteon DVD-ROM HD166S but I already have a nice Pioneer 106s DVD-ROM slot drive. The slot "no-tray" system is very practical, but it sucks in reading protections, I am not sure how it will be for playing backups but I asume that you can play anything on the burner itself using "hide-media".

- Correct me please: Comparing the Plextor Premium (52/32/52) with the LTR-52327S the only thing that the Liteon cannot do well is the last Securom but it produces backups that are playable in more drives than what Plextor (that is strong in 1:1 Securom and everything else but backups can only be played in the Plextor itself using "hide media" I asume) can produce?
