Re: Why You Should Dump Internet Explorer

im picky when it comes to changeing webbrowsers... i used ie6 for the longest time but once firefox came along i started using that once i got used to it and i aint never going back to IE... it has a nice clean interface and it aint bloated at all. (not to mention firefox is more secure "overall" )

opera is a fast webbrowser no doubt about that, but reason i like firefox alot better (not counting the fact firefox is free) is opera's interface is more cluttered as where firefox is more simple ... firefox went the smart route in leaving up "add-on" stuff to the individual to install which is a smart thing.

sure u can argue that firefox may have just as many security flaws as ie6 does if it was just as popular... which it might... but the fact of the matter is as of today firefox is plain and simply more secure than IE is... plus no activex support in firefox that right there eliminates alot of what makes ie bad.

bottom line... your average person dont want to mess with installing software to get on the internet! which means there just gonna use whats installed already in windows which is IE! and for your average user there aint much reason to switch webbrowsers since IE displays ALL sites correctly unlike firefox

but i think firefox is better cause it does support standards... maybe in a few years time everyone will start making stuff based on those standards.

cause i have ran into a few sites that dont work properly with firefox but ill manage
