my internet experiences :
internet explorer - used for a few years. still do when required for some sites. slowest load times, least useful features built in. absolutely no tabbing mechanism supported. more exploitable than paris hilton. no easy place to go to find new features to add into the browser.
opera - preferred browser. tabbed windows by default. opens a new tab for downloads, so i can pause/view/find them easily, without separate popup windows for each. slightly faster than internet explorer on load times. poor javascript support (which may be because of javascript optimized for internet explorer). no central place for add ins again.
firefox - probable browser of the future. fastest by far. sorry xtacy, but im 99 % sure that it is. have you customized internet explorer at all? how about firefox? there are a lot of options for it that you have CONTROL over. i like control

. for more info on that, google for about
:config hacks
firefox also has the easiest plugin system i've seen. right now, i have foxytunes, weatherfox, and adblock running in the status bar. it can open new windows in tab (try clicking with the scrollwheel), although not doing it by a left click annoys the sh*t out of me. download manager is a good start. the find behavior, while simple, is something that just makes sense. press control-f in internet explorer, opera, and then firefox. see where they pop up.
firefox hasnt converted me yet, as i've used opera for 3+ years, and opera behaves exactly the same on every operating system i have. but its getting better every day.
