Ok, here's the deal. Never had a DVD writer, only a CD writer. Sony, that came with ExtremeCD. I bought the NEC 2510a bare(no software). A friend gave me nero 5.5.9.9 so i installed it to use with the 2510a. For some reason it(nero) won't recognize my DVD writer. I was told other applications that came with my CD writer could be causing conflict so i have uninstalled both EasyCD AND CD extreme. Still won't recognize it. Arrrrgh.... Gonna try and uninstall reinstall nero and reboot. I'm at wits end..

I no longer have the CD writer hooked up. Replaced it with the NEC burner. Now all i have is a CD-Rom and the NEC writer.
