I plan on setting up a sticky here to briefly compare the different technologies. My HDTV system is the Panasonic PT-AE500E projector

After using this system for over two months now, I cannot see myself going for any smaller screen. Below are a few pictures taken with a digital camera, however the real picture looks much much better than in my snapshots below:
At the touch of a few buttons, my bedroom turns in to a cinema (88" picture)
A close-up of two icons just to show how sharp the picture is.
I have seen several plasma TV's and other large TV systems since, but the thing that has put me off the others is either contrast issues or colour. For example, the red on a plasma TV looks kind of red-orange to me, but on my projector, it looks pure red like on a CRT.
The LCD TV's above look really impressive. The only disadvantage I find with a projector system is that it requires a dark room. The darkest image shown is the abient light reflected off the wall/screen. LCD has that major advantage of working in a subtraction method where an enabled pixel turns black, thus resulting in a very clear picture even in a bright room.
