Nero at best is "Flighty" and needs a "smack up-side-de-head".

Have you trie uninstalling it, rebooting (to make sure it's flushed out) and then reinstalled with a reboot again to ensure it's settled in -

Certainly couldn't hurt :-)

PS, have you tried the latest firmware upgrade ?

Also uninstalling your drive and letting your PC find it again.
