I was able to use the disk to install... however i am not able to use the disk to play the game. It just sits there with the first farcry screen (small boxed window) and never initiates to loading the game. The DVDrom drive just blinks every once in a while. I dont know how to do this part (if it does not work Try your Burners As Readers With HIDE ATAP Enabled.) Have no clue where to do that at to see if that helps. So.. until i figure that out.. my attempt was a failure. I guess ill add my specs... to just in case thats an issue |
Ok you have nerd the saying right what works for one may not work for another.
well this is the method i use and my safediskv3 games i backup work...
lets see in your spec`s you didnt list your DVDROM ?
i only noticed these 2 drives in your spec..
Pioneer 105 DVD-RW(firm 1.33)
OptoRite 48x16x48x CDRW
if you use your Pioneer as your DVDROM then no wonder its not working as HIDE ATAP needs to be enabled.
There are a few programs that can disable and enable this feature and
Clone CD is one and the other is Alcohol...
lets use alcohol as CloneCD is the most blacklisted program out there.
eject farcry cdr from yoru drives and remember you only need the game to ACTIVATE and WORK so you dont need to reinstall the game.
ok start alcohol up.
Options/General/Emulation/ Tick only : Ignore Media TYPE.
Untick every other option and under extra emulation Untick All .
next Minimize Alcohol and eject your drives and try again.
if it does not work this time then im unshure of what your doing wrong or it could be just the hardware you have.
your Pioneer DVDRW and OptoRite 48x16x48x CDRW may not be up to the task of reading.
if its going to work for you it would most likely work on the Optorite cdrw drive as i think its a rebagaged liteon drive.
again sorry for the problems your getting and keep at it.
GOODLUCK.
