I have found a second title, which has exactly the same error:
The movie "Magnolia" R2 German, which came with the german magazine "Widescreen" as an add-on. (The "normal" R2 German version has not this problem).
The workaround in AnyDVD 3.6.1.1 works just fine.
Thanks go to Jarod666 for bringing this to my attention.
I wonder, if this is some kind of stupid copy protection scheme, or some buggy mastering software...????
