Re:

Thank you! I agree with you - MP4 files shall be smaller than MPEG2 :-)
BTW, Nero Recode have option to specify 10Mbit bitrate - why they proposed non-working solution...

About second question...It would be best to find out ability to encode just files to NeroDigital...

- 4Gb corrupted MP4 files.

Have you ever looked inside of a DVD Video before? Not even "pressed" movies have files bigger than 1Gb. One time when encoding DivX movies I wanted to make the output AVI as good as it could look and that calls for a bigger output file size(...). The movie turned out to be 2.3Gb in size. DivX Player refused to play the file. Windows media player did play them however, for no longer than 5-6 seconds before it crashed.

In this case, the movie was perfectly fine. Later on looking throught DivX.com help files I found that DivX Player CAN NOT OPEN files bigger than 2Gb. I then reencoded the movie to a lower file size and it worked just fine.

You're trying to play a 4Gb MP4 file. Most players can not handle more than 2Gb.

Now, your second question.

Wouldn't you love to watch your DivX-AVI files in QuickTime recoded to MP4? I would too. Right now, I only use QuickTime to play MP4-Audio files made with Nero which are excelent quality. MP4 Video Converision Software is not so available from what I heard so far and it sucks if it is. Can't tell you too much on the subject since I have close to no experience.
