If I flash my dvd writer with region free firmware, will it cause
anyDVD to no longer work? I get that impression from this topic

But now Slysoft's AnyDVD Version 1.6.1.5 gives me an error message while accessing commercial DVDs (hey, I there mine!) suggesting that I have an RPC1 drive without a region code set and stops from de-css-ing the DVD.
