ive got the sony crx-195e1 with firmware flashed to VS0B that is not compiling cds anymore it will go to 6-7%, then i hear the drive spinning, and it comes up w/"command aborted, could not perform end track." ive tried music and data cds, as well as burning images (vcd) all with the same result. i can make disc copies however. the drive has worked w/the flashed firmware for months, so i dont think that has anything to do with it.
so i installed my spare lite-on 52246s from my other rig which i KNOW works and its doing the same thing?!? w/the lite-on i installed a fresh copy of nero and updated it to the latest version. there have been no software changes, so im kinda stumped as to what suddenly made this stop working. ive tried it at lower speeds, dao, dao96, etc. w/no luck. thanks for any thoughts/ideas!


edit: this is posted in the hardware forum too b/c i thought it was an issue w/my burner, but now it seems to be software.
