This is indeed planned in a future release, but I doubt it'll be used often.
Nobody really likes swapping disks while watching.
Most movies are "just a little bit" too big to fit on one DVD-R, so reducing the video just by 10-20% is really hardly noticable.

if you do end up adding this you need to fade the end of the film where it splits and have a nice "please insert next DVD" instead of it just ending,
But what I would also like to see is the exact opposite,
the ability in
CloneDVD to select two movie streams from two different sources, DVD / Hard Drive (or three or four etc.) and have CloneDVD Transcode the whole thing to fit on one DVD, and automatically write a simple frontend menu that would allow you to select the various films,
I have come across several small DVDs where you could almost fit both onto one Disc without compressing,
and this would also come in handy for adding your own home movies to DVD.
