DVD2SVCD is (in my opinion) the best and easiest way to rip dvds to svcd. it's 100% free if u choose to use the free encoder, TMPGEnc. for $58 u can get Cinema Craft Encoder Basic, which has higher quality encoded video, and also works faster than TMPGEnc.
