OK, thanks! Well, looks like I'll get either a Lite-On or an ASUS then.

A few more questions:

What's the difference between the LTR-48125W and LTR-48126S? I can't see find the difference on Lite-Ons website. They kind of lump the two together under the same specs.

Do you have any links to head-to-head comparisons between the Lite-On 48x and the ASUS 48x? I'm wondering if the ASUS does anything the Lite-On can't do, or does something better than the Lite-On.

How close is Lite-On to releasing an even faster drive (say, a 52X)?
