| Olli thinks so. The PSX disc has a different step-height to CD-Rs, and the laser, which is lousy anyway, has a ;ittle more difficulty with CD-Rs. Read & Write at 8x is the rule of thumb. Fabrice (Blindwrite Suite) will tell you that SAO is better than DAO in most cases where DAO is not required to control or brute-force the disc.
