There's no reason to check the "deactivate ASPI" or "use other ASPI" options. As it is already stated swiching off aspi will disable some options. If you have the aspis not installed correctly or something you will experience some problems though, in that case it might help to turn them off yourself (although automatiqually will not be loaded by clony itself).
What do you mean by " cdrom ... no aspi layer loaded " ?? Where exactly did you find this?
