I know that EAC 0.9 beta 3 has problems writing. But did you try beta 2? Beta 2 doesn't have the writing bug.

(Note: EAC is still a prerelease (v0.9) and it is beta... I think we should be happy that such an excellent piece of software like EAC exists and even better: it is freeware!)

If I can find the time this weekend I will give this off-set cd a try myself. (I have a ltr-40125s myself.) (BTW did you know that according to the Redbook specifications drives are allowed to have an off-set of + or - 1 second, that is 75 sectors of 98 frames, there is no drive outthere that is that bad and second thing: not even the author of EAC uses off-sets while writing!)
