I don't think you can do this, even with SATA 3.0Gbs. I believe you will overload the transfer rate capabilities of the hard drive, even if you use the fastest SATA hard drives available, like the 10,000 rpm Raptors.

Eventually, SATA 6.0 and solid state drives might be able to do this kind of transfer.

Disclaimer: I am not an expert on hard drives, or transfer rates. This is just my impression of current technology.
