Download 8.19 INT and 8.29 INT frimwares for DVR-111L from http://tdb.rpc1.org/index.htm. Flash the DVR-111D with the 8.19 INT first to cross flash to 111L, and finally flash with the 8.29 INT latest firmware. The drive should then be seen as DVR-111L and will auto bitset DVD+R to DVD-ROM when burned. Be aware cross flash voids warranty, and the drive should be tested first in case it need be returned if defective.
