So here is more strange news in my saga. The files that don't look good show up like this:
S\TNGS2D1.mp4
Format: mov,mp4,m4a,3gp,3g2,mj2
Duration: 00:45:31.0
Start Time: 0.000 s
Bit rate: 1414 kbit/s
Video: h264, yuv420p, 1920x1080 [PAR 0:1 DAR 0:1]
Audio: mpeg4aac, 48000 Hz, 5:1
Subtitle: dvdsub
See the 1920x1080? The good files show up as:
of Day It Has Been.mp4
Format: mov,mp4,m4a,3gp,3g2,mj2
Duration: 00:45:1.4
Start Time: 0.000 s
Bit rate: 1403 kbit/s
Video: h264, yuv420p, 720x480 [PAR 0:1 DAR 0:1]
Audio: mpeg4aac, 48000 Hz, 5:1
Subtitle: dvdsub
But I haven't changed a setting in the Recode or DVDFab process. They all just come out like that now, and I wonder if the resolution is too high for PS3 to view.
