Re: Onkyo TX-SR805 - good choice of AV Receiver?

Ok the 805 I had was a repack and I told them I wouldn't accept it, but at the time there were no other 805's in stock. They said take it and we will replace it when we receive new stock. Just got the new one today. After running all ch stereo (7 channels) for three hours my temp has maxed at 51 deg c which is a big difference from 69 deg c on the unit I returned. I can actually hold my hand on the hot spot now. Also came with the latest FW and DSP's which is great because updating FW on these things can be bitch. Now a happy camper.
FW 1.08
DSP's
SR8051/08214A
SR8052/07518A
SR8053/07820B

BTW. I have the latest FW if anyone needs it (you can't get it from Onkyo yet). You need a RS232 straight through cable to do the update from your PC. If you want it PM me.
Disclaimer: As with any fw update you are responsible if anything happens and you brick your reciever.
