Not sure this will help as my sohw-1693s is rather old at this point. However it simply makes the best DL burns at 4x of all my drives. A scan with DVDInfoPro gives these results : PI 60 PIF 6. This is with Ritek D01 media. To this day is my most reliable drive along with my sh-s182m.
