Depends what you want:
Bought DVD version has video-codec MPEG2 in 720x480(576) and you never know if you get a DVD5 or DVD9.
Recoded Blu-Ray to DVD9 has video-codec H264 (way better than MPEG2) at resolution 1920x1080.
You can't play it in a normal DVD-SA, but we are talking about Blu-Ray.

So decide for yourself what looks better!

In RipBot in 2pass-mode you can lock size to DVD5=4480MB, DVD9=8150 and for Blu-Ray you can insert something above 22000MB
(haven't calculated correct value for myself, only know that some ppl recode to Blu-Ray-SL)

But for myself it is quite sufficent to recode to 8GB and safe some money:
Verbatim DVD+DL 8x costs around 1 Euro,
Cheapest BD-R 2x costs around 7 Euro
