That is how this big national chain stores operate with big sale from time to time. Do you think they actually care for the customers so that they offer sale price for quality products from time to time? No way. They are for making profit. So they receive lots of stockfile of good and bad batches from manufacturers so that they can make it even, so that they actually lose nothing after sale price.
So usually small independent store with less stock is far better in quality and services in almost everything, not just media.
