I also have a newer computer with Vista. But my older 98 computer is my main ripper & DVD burner.I'm not using any BluRay hardware so for me it's fine.

but hey - what do I know, maybe you only watch 10+ year old movies & if that's the case, just stick with dvdfab version 3 or earlier - I'm sure it will cope with those :-)
I wonder, do play your DVD copies on a 10+ year old DVD player into a 10+ year old CRT TV & convince yourselves that the picture quality is just as good as what's now in the shops??? |
I have used my 98 computer for ripping currently available newer movies.
My oldest standalone DVD player is about 4 years old ,The other standalone recorder/players are 2 & less than 1 year old.
My newest CRT Teleision is 9 years old.I've been waiting for the HD & other things to get more established before I decide on the next TV I want.
The DVD movies I backup look fine to me.Way better than VHS.
MooMooMooMoo ;I didn't mean to derail this topic & I too would like to see a response from Fengtao.
IMO Fengtao is already late in removing references to 98 & Me from his site if that is his solution.Because he has already sold DVD Fab 5.0.2.0 to people with 98.So there is no "unreal " expectation. If an OS is listed in the System Requirements it should work.
